The Director
Event Planner extraordinaire, Wanda Cornelius is the founder and CEO of Red Lipstick Events. With nearly 20 years’ experience in promotions and marketing, Wanda’s strengths include event management, consulting, planning, and budgeting. She is respected as the San Francisco Bay Area’s most versatile Event and Marketing Specialist.
Wanda spends time developing relationships not only with clients but with other professionals in the community. Her attention to detail, communication skills, and problem-solving strategies work well with her passion for event planning.
As a promotions director for two of San Francisco’s most recognized radio stations 98.1 KISS FM R&B and KKSF 103.7 Smooth Jazz, Wanda planned and executed some of the most exciting, memorable and successful events, including, the “CD Sampler for AIDS Relief Concert” with International Jazz Recording Artist David Sanborn, “Concerts on the Coast The Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay” with Grammy Award-winning Chris Botti, including a variety of Earth and Valentine’s Day concerts and Smooth Jazz After Five.
Following her successful career in radio, Wanda focused on connecting sponsors with non-profit groups, building the first-ever Bay Area “BBQ Cook-Off & Music Festival.” In addition to creating a private reception with Steve Forbes, Editor and Chief of Forbes magazine, executing corporate networking luncheons, trade shows, and fundraisers.
Wanda has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Marketing. When Wanda is not working, she enjoys entertaining family and friends, vintage shopping, and DIY projects.
